Dr. Colvin is a Chiropractor who lives and works in Berkeley California.  He was the first to establish The JOINT Chiropractic franchise in California, which opened in Berkeley in Oct of 2010. 

Dr. Colvin's approach to creating his deck of Tarot was as a meditation tool, not mysticism, at least not as most people might imagine that word to apply. He explored each card's traditional meaning and sought resonance in what was taking place in American modern life.

Then, fully aware of the existence of fake news promulgated by Russian operatives during the 2016 political cycle, Dr. Colvin sought to only use reliable news sources, vetted to the best of his ability, to support his gestalt world view he depicts in The America Eclipsed Tarot. 

In his book, Progressive Outrage Explored with Tarot, he provides the citations to the news sources that accompany each card. 

In creating this project, Dr. Colvin had found some new stories within stories, all of which was released in the news of the day, but their elements had been scattered across different publishers or news releases, and across several years such that deeper truths were harder to glean. That is, until he had sorted the content in terms of each Tarot card's subject.  Once he started writing, the threads came together and many things became clearer. 

As a result he is an even stronger supporter of Bernie Sanders political perspective.
